Data Visualization Infographic: Personal Nutrition

This infographic represents a more creative application of my data visualization skills made using R, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Illustrator.

Over the course of a month, I tracked my personal diet & nutrition data, summarized in three ways: 1) macro-nutrient calories, 2) meal composition & timing, and 3) fluctuating caloric intake.

These data points are represented by the three charts on the poster. The annotations on the chart reveal how all the data is interrelated.

To make these charts and their many data points suit this medium, I maximized the readability and usability. My design incorporated plenty of white space, appropriately sized and spaced headings, and complementary colors with consistent meaning between two of the three visualizations.

This approach helped my poster have a consistent and reliable visual standard that is balanced and readable.
