Data Visualizations Made with R

This collection features data visualizations that I created using R and designed with Adobe Illustrator. I’ve included:

      • an 8×8 scatterplot matrix comparing the correlation of different crime rates in the US
      • a bubble chart that visualized the relationships between different countries’ murder rate (x-axis), burglary rate (y-axis), and population (bubble size)
      • a pie chart showing demographic changes in the US over 45 years
      • a chloropleth map comparing rent and income across US states
      • a bar chart that shows competition winners between four countries
I applied visual hierarchy principles, contrast, and other techniques to improve the usability of these charts and include as much detail as possible without overcrowding them.
